​Beijing Must-See Iconic Sites Tour

Your tour guide will meet you at your desired starting point, typically your hotel lobby, at your desired time, typically 8:00AM. Then you will start this 8-hour tour of Beijing’s dynastic history.

• ​First, you will visit one of the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, the most famous and scenic section. To make the trek to the wall easy, you’ll have your choice of taking the cable car or chair lift up to to begin an enjoyable and scenic 1 hour hike along the top of the wall once used for transporting soldiers and goods as well as explore the Watch Towers.
• You’ll then take a break for lunch and enjoy some local cuisine or western-style food based on recommendations from our expert guide. We leave this at your expense to give you the flexibility to choose based on your interests and budget. 
• Once returning to Beijing, you will visit the famous central hub of Beijing, Tiananmen Square, This square is the geographic, political, and tourist center of the city, which makes a required site with iconic Gate of Heavenly Peace, portraits of Chairman Mao and more.
• From here you will visit The Forbidden City (also known as the Imperial Palace). This massive complex sits on the northern edge of Tiananmen Square and has been a place of wonder and mystery for over 500 years. On Mondays, since Forbidden City is closed, you’ll see the China’s national university during the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, and the last Guozijian (Imperial University) of China.

You will be sent back to your hotel or somewhere in the city center you prefer when the tour is finished.
